While activities of daily life leave people bustling and swamped, pet parents want the best treatment possible for their fur babies while seeking convenience and affordability. Recent economic conditions have many of us tightening our belts and being careful where to spend. Our mobile vet clinic can be a great option over a traditional veterinary practice as it offers premium pet care that minimizes financial stress. However, deciding if the mobile pet clinic is the right place to take your furry loved one can be confusing, so here we break down the differences.

What Type of Care Does Your Pet Need?

It’s important to consider what your pet needs. Is fluffy in need of her routine vaccinations and preventative medications? Or is she sick and possibly in need of more comprehensive care?

Our mobile vet clinic is staffed with a highly-trained veterinarian and a team of trained veterinary staff members who offer a range of affordable and advantageous services for those seeking routine vaccinations and preventative care for their dogs and cats. This type of care can possibly reduce the need for more complex treatment or intervention down the road. Pet owners seeking free physical exams, low-cost vaccinations, low-cost prescription medication, and flea, tick, and heartworm prevention like Heartgard, Bravecto, and Revolution Plus are perfect candidates for the mobile pet clinic.

Our brick-and-mortar veterinary clinics are a better option for pets exhibiting symptoms that may indicate more extensive care is required. Our veterinary clinics are staffed with a team of veterinarians and veterinary specialists that can perform digital x-rays and surgeries, draw labs, and prescribe and fill a full range of prescription medications and foods.

Do You Wish to Make an Appointment or Walk-In?

The Jacksonville Community Pet Clinics Mobile Vet Clinic sees customers on a first-come, first-served basis. Appointments are not available. You simply choose from one of many convenient stops throughout Jacksonville, Florida, as well as St. John’s, Nassau, Duval, Baker, and Clay counties, and show up! Some stops are busier; therefore, we recommend arriving before the scheduled stop time.

Conversely, appointments are strongly encouraged at our Jacksonville Community Pet Clinics Beaches and West locations.

Are You Looking for an Affordable Vet Clinic?

Our mobile vet clinic, as well as our brick-and-mortar veterinary clinics, offer pricing that’s lower than most vets in the Jacksonville area. However, we do not charge an exam fee at the Mobile Vet Clinic, making it a more affordable option.

All Jacksonville Community Pet Clinics locations (mobile and otherwise) also offer affordable prescription medications and preventatives, several of which offer instant rebates. Our pricing on those preventatives is often lower than major suppliers such as Chewy.com and PetMeds.

Do You Want To Meet with a Veterinarian at the Mobile Pet Clinic?

You and your pet will meet with one of our veterinarians at the mobile clinic, who will perform a physical exam and who can answer questions about a variety of issues, including lumps, ears, skin, coat, diet, and even behavioral changes. If your pet is exhibiting symptoms requiring more extensive or immediate care, the vet will call our beach or west clinic locations and send you and your pet there.

What Day of the Week Do you Wish to Visit?

Our mobile pet clinic only operates on Saturdays. We work in cooperation with businesses and churches that provide a portion of their parking lot for us to park and operate in. Hours vary each week, but we usually run between 8 am and around 6 pm.

Our beaches and west veterinary clinic locations are open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm. All clinics are closed on Sundays.

How Do You Want to Pay?

Our clinics accept cash, debit cards, MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. We do not accept checks. However, only our beaches and west veterinary clinics allow you to finance your pet’s care over time via ScratchPay and CareCredit.

Do You Want to Be Indoors or Outdoors?

Our mobile vet clinic is a customized RV that we park in various business parking lots throughout the Jacksonville and five county area. The back fully opens, therefore providing an indoor/outdoor experience. Patients wait in/near their cars upon arrival for their numbers to be called. Once called, patients join the vet at the back of the RV to receive care.

Conversely, our beaches and west veterinary clinic locations are indoor commercial buildings. Guests and their pets wait in our lobby before being led back to meet with the veterinarian inside private exam rooms.
